Greater Cleveland ASTD is an active professional association for those in the training and development field within the Greater Cleveland area. We have been a chartered chapter of ASTD since the 1950's.
We provide approximately nine Professional Development Programs and functions each year. This year's program theme is "Passion for Our Profession."
We conduct surveys to determine our members' needs to ensure that we provide appropriate services and professional development.
We are involved with local universities in encouraging student memberships for those interested in HRD. We also work with the universities to co-present various programs.
We hold joint meetings with professionals in related disciplines, such as the International Society for Performance and Instruction (ISPI) and Cleveland Society for Human Resource Management (CSHRM).
Greater Cleveland ASTD currently has approximately 130 members. Members include in-house professionals from all areas of industry and finance as well as psychologists, consultants, college faculty, and students.
Opportunities are available for members to participate in special interest groups (SIGs). Currently, there are two SIGs: Consultants SIG and Technical SIG. You are welcome to join these at any time or start your own group based on your needs and interests.
