On October 17, 2008, Greater Cleveland ASTD and Northeast OH ASTD held an Executive Forum: Enhancing the Economy through Workforce Development. Presented were insights from a regional, state and national perspective on initiatives that improve organizational performance and contribute to a sustainable economy. Speakers for this forum were:

- Susan Dukeman, OH Department of Development, Workforce and Talent Division Director
- Daniel Berry, Senior Vice President, Organizational Advancement at Greater Cleveland Partnership
- Megan Arth, Chief Learning Officer at National City Corporation,
- Barbara Danforth, President and CEO of Cleveland YWCA, was the Forum's moderator
